2013년 1월 Sky One에서 방영을 시작한 다큐멘터리. 데이빗 아텐보로 경의 해설과 함께 첨단 3D 기술과을 사용하여 갈라파고스의 독특한 환경과 종을 탐험한다. 갈라파고스 제도의 탄생, 다양한 환경 속에서 동물의 종이 다양해진 이유, 인간이 거주하면서 동물의 진화 속도가 느려지고 있는 상황 등 흥미진진한 이야기와 멋진 장면이 이어진다. 또한 제작 일기에서는 데이빗 아텐보로 경이 핑크 이구아나 앞에서 설명하는 모습을 수차례 촬영하는 장면, 헬리콥터 고장으로 섬에 고립된 촬영팀의 모습 등 촬영팀의 여정을 리얼하게 그린다.
